Our public library is a few blocks away. Without their homework help program and their room of computers for public use many of our students would have no access to technology outside of the school settings. The library is vital to their success in academics and their path out of poverty. Thanks to all librarians for their understanding and support of my students!

The staff should always include a MLS, if possible a research librarian, a children’s and/or youth librarian. As a former president of a library board in a small rural community, we were well funded and able to meet most of the needs of our community.
